Who's ready for a chilling gaming adventure? We're ready to guide you through the eerie world of Dead by Daylight in our latest episode of The Game Room Where It Happens. It's Spooktober, and what better way to celebrate than by exploring this multiplayer survival horror game! As an online game where players can choose to be either the hunter or the hunted, it offers an exciting, heart-pounding experience.

In comparison, we discuss how the recent Texas Chainsaw Massacre game also provides an equally terrifying experience. The fear factor in both games is heightened by the visually appealing levels, strategic gameplay, and the sheer unpredictability of the killers. Speaker 1:

Welcome to your go-to source for entertainment. Wait for it. Gaming. Wait for it.

Speaker 2:

Anime Plus Ultra.

Speaker 1:

Mr Eric Almighty and Phil the Filipino. Yeah, they've got you covered, and all you gotta do is Wait for it.

Speaker 2:

Hey everyone, welcome back to the Wait for it podcast. I am your co-host, phil Smith, aka Phil the Filipino, and joining me, as always, is your other co-host, mr Eric Almighty, and folks, we are here with the October Spooktober edition of the Game Room, where it happens Always a really fun time. And, eric, of course, with it being the month of Spooks, we had to go with a horror themed game for this month and we finally, after many, many years of talking about it, took the dive into Dead by Daylight, and you know, I think the results were relatively positive. We certainly have some thoughts.

Speaker 2:

Dead by Daylight is the catalyst for team-based horror gaming, and we can definitely see why that is. I mean, this is a game that has been around for a very, very long time and we just needed to get the right group of people together to try it out. We did that and we're also going to throw in a little bonus content here as far as another horror team-up game that we've been trying out over the last couple of months. So excited to break all that down for everybody.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, there's pretty much a double feature here a little bit, because the games really do compare and there'll be some comparisons we make between the two, which I'm excited to do, because Dead by Daylight, I think the thing was we always knew it was out there to play, but it just again. You mentioned the group of people, but it was also not really the like the multiplayer survival horror game. That's not really something we normally play. You know we're pretty mindless robots playing Fortnite when we can fit it in. When it comes to multiplayer experiences, you don't think to jump into the horror genre. But Dead by Daylight constantly came up as the game to play and I just think you know, with the stars aligning, this was perfect timing October horror. What else could you want from a game?

Speaker 2:

as far as the theme we're going with, yeah, I think Fortnite Marys was the closest that we had dove into horror and, of course, I think last October, eric, you know what was it called Back for Blood. Remember that.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yes, one of us spent. One of us spent a hundred dollars on that, a premium edition of that game, only to play it three times because it kept a kept shitting on us, basically, and not even a physical copy, guys.

Speaker 2:

So he didn't even get like a cool, like statue. He, she, whoever, whoever the person may not a guy girl, not a guy girl thing.

Speaker 1:

Not a guy, girl thing. Um, you know they, we don't know really who it could have been.

Speaker 2:

Not going to point any fingers here, but for those of you that are watching on YouTube, you'll know what's going on.

Speaker 1:

You know I want her audio only listeners to all send the same experience.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah. So you know, um, expanding our gaming horizons again, going out of our comfort zone a little bit, and I'm glad that we did. So we're going to talk about all that here in just a moment. Want to welcome in any brand new listeners that are checking out the podcast for the first time. Thank you guys so much and we hope you have a good time of stick around to the very end of the episode. We will let you know where you can find all the rest of our content, as well as our socials. And for all of you returning listeners, welcome back. Hope you guys have had a really great October. I hope you have a happy Halloween and, yeah, thank you so much for the continued support. So, for anybody that needs a refresher, or if they're brand new, eric, let them know what the game room where it happens is all about. And then let's talk about Dead by Daylight.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so the game room where it happens is one of our recurring series on the podcast and ultimately, what we're wanting to do here, guys, is just hold a fun conversation about some of our favorite gaming franchises, consoles, etc. So sometimes we'll bring on a guest. Next month, in fact, we're just in the middle of playing Spider-Man 2. It's going to be our episode next month and we plan on having a guest there for this one. We're just going going solo, just the two of us here and just having a discussion for your entertainment. Luckily, there's no story based kind of aspect to this, so there's really not a lot of spoilers to dive into, and I think this will be a fun episode, even if you haven't played the game.

Speaker 2:

Just love how you contradicted yourself. Just solo the two of us. I can't see Solo is in just your face. You're like. That doesn't make sense, but I'm in a groove here so I'm just going to keep going, we're just going to, we're just going to go for it. I just appreciate the committing to it.

Speaker 1:

So then my brain also got confused because I was like I thought we were supposed to have people on for this one and I guess that just didn't. We just never talked about it.

Speaker 2:

Never reached out to them, so it's okay.

Speaker 2:

I don't want to edit four pieces of audio over the day before release, so it's okay. Podcasting problems, you guys don't have to worry about those. But let's talk about Dead by Daylight. It originally came out back all the way back in, I think, 2017. It's been around since the PS4 and Xbox one days.

Speaker 2:

If you are not familiar with it, dead by Daylight is an online asymmetric multiplayer survival horror game developed by Canadian studio behavior interactive. It is a one v four game in which one player takes on the role of a killer and the other four play as survivors. The killer must impale each survivor on sacrificial hooks to appease them and a malevolent force known as the entity, while the survivors have to avoid being caught and power up the exit gates by working together to fix five generators. So, on paper, relatively easy concept. The tutorial, very, very straightforward. The thing.

Speaker 2:

I guess we'll just start off here, eric, I know we'd like to start off positively, but damn, getting into a game, man. They make it as difficult as possible for new players to just jump in and play, and that was certainly a frustrating part of it. I mean and listen, it's not a. I don't know if it's like an interface issue or anything like that. But like in a day and age where there are games I know we joke about Fortnight and Call of Duty and you know those are very simplistic games but what I know about those two games is I can just jump in and jump in, hit, play a match and that's that's what will happen. And it's not necessarily that simple for a dead by daylight, which is immediately a knock on it right off the bat.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I was looking a little bit into it, phil, because one of the things I remembered with this game was like it has some good reviews and, like you know, it kind of advertises the good reviews that it has but, like, from a Metacritic standpoint, it didn't at launch get received too highly and I guess some of that had to do with like a peer to peer type of situation with hosting. There were also some social features that were missing. So I guess those have been rectified to a point, but it sounds like and you know, just from our experience, that still is an issue. And I got to say, phil, not only was it hard to get into a game, but one of the things you know, because we had a. We have a lot of great stuff to say about this game.

Speaker 1:

But this game, unlike the comparison we're going to make to the other one we're playing, is not easy for us to figure out.

Speaker 1:

Just in general, like loadouts, for example, when you select a character, even after tutorial, it doesn't quite make sense, like all these different tokens or charms that you can kind of activate. The description is there, I don't know what it means is essentially what happens, and could I find out. Could I learn? Sure, but I think we went into it very casually, so for a casual gamer, this may not be the game for you. And then little things, like when you switched your character, you had to completely start all over, so it wasn't like you could save presets that I could see. Anyway, if you know a way, let us know in the comments, although I don't know that we're going to play this beyond October. To be completely honest, this will probably just be an annual kind of like Halloween game for us to play. I think it's good, it's a lot of fun and I'm really excited to talk about what we loved about this game, but we'd be remiss not to bring up the obvious problems that existed before and for us. We experienced today.

Speaker 2:

And here's the other thing, too, because Dead by Daylight has a very dedicated fan base. I know people have been keeping up with it essentially since it came out. I mean, we're talking about a seven year old game here, so we're experiencing it on a level in which there are now characters in this game that weren't there at launch loadout features, you know, things of that nature that were not available. So maybe at one point it was very simplistic, but now it has evolved into something that is not, and that's totally fine. Like you certainly want to evolve your game and make it better, but you also want to be inviting to new players. Like us, you want to grow your player base, and it's difficult for me to recommend or even tell somebody hey, this is how you play a game of Dead by Daylight, because even though we had played it before, just this past weekend, we were still trying to remember how the hell do we do this when we invited a new player in no-transcript who had not played before. So I think that is a uh, you know, just kind of an interface and and gameplay problem, like you said, and it I do feel bad starting it off that way, but it's the first thing you do is you have to set up a damn game, and it took us a while to figure out how to do so. But, like you said, eric, a lot of positive things to say about this. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we threw this in to the loop like once or twice a month, even outside of october. Honestly, uh, just because you know we do get tired of that fortnight loop. I mean, granted, monowhere for three is coming out soon and we will probably be. You know, activision shills and give them 70 dollars and to play maps. We've played when we were children. But you know, I wouldn't be surprised if this stuck around. I mean, it doesn't take up a lot of hard drive space and, uh, you know we talked about actually earlier today at lunch there's not really a whole lot of games coming out for the remainder of the year that are on our radar, especially not multiplayer games.

Speaker 2:

So the one thing that's a lot of fun. I mean I really obviously the team aspect of it is really really cool. Um, it's, it's an absolute blast With friends, especially, uh, when that fifth friend is the killer. So, you know, you kind of pick up on on tendencies, you know how like we've been playing with these people for years, so we kind of know their personal tendencies on how they play games. So you kind of have to think about that. All the different types of killers are really really cool.

Speaker 2:

We didn't buy any of the dlc that's available, although I would love to know how, uh, nicholas Cage plays as a killer in the game. Definitely would want to check that out. We'll see if it like goes on sale or something. But I think just the variety of characters and killers is a left for dead, a crossover in the game as well. I think that's really really cool. I mean, the fact that this has been able to Become the horror game really is very impressive. Like you said it, it got off to a little bit of a rocky start and how many games of us as a service like this have we seen? Just Tank, I mean the only the one game totally different, but also four of you. One is a volve, remember that absolutely was. That was a complete disaster. So the fact that this is still around is great and that the fact that it has so many collaborations With pretty much any classic horror villain that you want is awesome. So it's that's really cool to see and I would be interested to explore those killers and their powers.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I mean there were a lot of collabs that we missed out on, like legendary skins and things that I Kind of heard about, like some of the outfits that they had, even where they did like an attack on titan crossover At one point, which was kind of wild to see, uh, but I think we we do have so much of this game to still explore and I think that's what has kept people Continuing to play it, not to mention too, that this game is like Easily streamable, like it's a lot of fun. It kind of it kind of follows that same routine, but it doesn't really get boring because it is a challenge. Like being being the killer is fun, but being the victims, like it definitely can be a little bit of a challenge to get by With just the four of you, and I definitely you know if you don't have someone Uh playing the killer, like in our case. That just showed us how to play the game and let us win.

Speaker 2:

You know, the most pleasant game that we've had one of the nicest online interactions We've ever had. This so great person I think knew we didn't know how to play the game and we weren't on mic with this person but basically just walked us through the level and how to do it. It was uh very wholesome. So I don't know if all the Dead by Daylight community is like that, but if it is uh good for you guys, that's, that's great.

Speaker 1:

I think you saw that we were such a low level is what we determined. It was just like all right guys, I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna kill you.

Speaker 2:

He was also very terrifying as ghost face. So it was yes, it was a good combo of both things.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it was. It was. It was pretty terrifying. But, like I said, I think this game has a lot More that there is to explore. It's definitely fun. You know, hearing everyone react, um, you know there were definitely some jump scares that take place. You know, just turning that corner, that anxiety that you feel, like everything that you would want out of a horror game, this really gave it to you. From a multiplayer aspect, I think the only and I guess four people is fine. I guess four is a fine number. I can't imagine playing this game with Randoms, so I would say you kind of need to have at least four, if not five, so you can complete it and play with someone as the killer. But then they got to leave your party that you're already in. So I think the sweet spot is really three other friends. If you could get three other people on board, I think it would be a ton of fun to be able to be in a party, play together and kind of just play the victims versus the killer.

Speaker 2:

But if you've got a fifth Definitely doesn't hurt if you do play solo, though, there is a play as a killer option for matchmaking. So if you just strictly want to murder strangers online, you can do that. So, which is another great thing about the game, so, even if you don't have, you know, another group of people to play with, so but, like you said, it is a really, really fun game in a group, like you said, makes for really, really great content as well and, yeah, it's just a good time. You know, like I said, it'd be really interested to explore the other killers not really interested in exploring any of the other survivors. They don't really have any kind of Abilities as far as we saw, compared to the other game that we have been playing, Eric, over the last month or two, where those characters do have abilities. So I definitely recommend this.

Speaker 2:

I believe it is free to play if you have, if free to download, if you have either Xbox game pass or PlayStation plus, so either or you can check it out. So, if you have been a little hesitant, definitely get some friends together and hop on, because, yeah, I think maybe the only other knock and it became less of a Concern as we played more of it was the maps are a little small, but working together is so cool in this game because, remember, we're like talking about, hey, I'm gonna lead them away, you go back to the generator, or just being strategic about it Made it doable, because we did get most of the generators at times. I mean, I don't think we ever Won a game where everybody survived, so that would probably be the next thing, other than the one where the guy literally helped us. Well, actually, no, there was one, and Eric.

Speaker 1:

Eric couldn't find the exit because he got no so, yeah, no so not everyone made so Almost everybody made it, but Eric got lost somehow in a five by five box. It's just for the record I was apparently on the right side when you told me all the new wrong side.

Speaker 2:

Well then, you should have been able to find it. I don't know what to tell you, but it's a, it's a good time. I would like the maps to maybe be just a little bit bigger, but it's not impossible, as it was the first time that we played when I was like, how does anybody win this game? And then, as we kind of got used to it and figure it out again strategically how to do things, became a little bit more manageable. So, yeah, really, really fun time.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I think there's a good comparison point to you know, this game that came out 2016, 2017 and has been out all this time. You know. I think it's a perfect segue fill for us to talk about the other Game that we've been playing in the last kind of 30 days and that is the Texas Chainsaw Massacre game. So this obviously is another horror game, very similar in tone and theme. Phil, what are some of the things that you kind of noticed between the two games and I guess, really just kind of your first initial thoughts about that? One Seeing is how we actually played that, either right after our first game of Dead by Daylight or right before. So it was that we played both of these around the same exact time.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, really, really similar in the timeline and as far as like. It's funny because, like I said, dead by daylight is the horror franchise, so, like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the Evil Dead game, friday the 13th, these are all games that are trying to Replicate what Dead by Daylight has done, and they honestly haven't really been able to do it, even though we very much enjoy Texas Chainsaw Massacre and shout out to our friends at Friendly Neighborhood Gamers Go check out their YouTube video on as far as a review about this game if you want a little bit more in depth, but I thought this was an absolute blast. One thing that I just teased a moment ago was that each character kind of has their own abilities, both on the killer side and the survivor side. Now it's 4v3 as opposed to 4v1, so that also makes things a little bit different and each as far as the killer side, one person is required to be the, the chainsaw guy I don't know what's the main character's name.

Speaker 2:

The leather face leather face, I was like the chainsaw man.

Speaker 2:

No, no, that's not it, that's not it. Also, and again, not fans of the movies, but apparently all the levels are very, very well as far as recreating the atmosphere and the, the designs of the, the locations that are in the game, so heard. That was a really, really big positive. But the thing with this that makes it a little bit more difficult is you have to have six friends to be able to play with you, and we figured it out, but you know, we had three people on PlayStation 2, on Xbox 2, on PC. So, like you know, it's good that it does have cross play, but it's a little bit harder to put together a group of people and, unlike with Dead by Daylight, we didn't get three killers that were just eager to let us win the game, because, well, one, we knew how to play the game because we had already jumped in. But when we tried to do 4v3 it was, you know, myself, eric and two of our friends against three random killers we got annihilated. So that wasn't great.

Speaker 1:

No, and not great at all and like it looks great. You know, visually it's a nice looking game. If you're a fan of that franchise, definitely nostalgia around every corner. But you know, this game, while it's better for newcomers, it also didn't really like ease you into it very much. It just said like do these things, but not like how to do them.

Speaker 1:

It is easier than Dead by Daylight to kind of catch up on it and figure it out. But I think the biggest pain point fill is, like you mentioned, is the amount of players that you're going to have right, a lot more randoms. And I think it's also much more difficult when you have a main killer and then like two goons, which is essentially the villain outline or the killer outline with those three characters. I mean, if there was more than four people on the victim side, maybe that would make sense, but yeah, a four versus three in this kind of situation we lost a lot more times than we want, you know, and it's a lot harder, I think, for a singular person to go out where we're dead by daylight kind of gives you that out. If it's down to one person, you have the an ability to find something, to win the game, find an exit point where, with Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I mean once people start getting picked off, it's pretty much over If it's if it's three on three, it's almost basically over.

Speaker 2:

And listen, some people might say it's a skill issue, but yeah, if I'm a casual player and I want to enjoy, you know, this game, then, yeah, I would like for it to be doable. The thing that about Texas Chainsaw Massacre, though, is, again, when you take into account the strategic element of it, the games can last a while, which I, like you know, there wasn't necessarily. I mean, there is kind of a ticking clock because of grandpa. You know, eventually, when he gets so powerful, he does reveal the location of everybody, which makes it difficult. But being able to split up your group of friends was also cool. So, you know, obviously there's a group of four and a group of three, so that's great, but yeah, like you said, I mean, if it gets down to even three V three, it's really difficult, and there's not really a way to fight back other than the character that you used, who, just, like shoulder, checks everybody, but other than that, everyone is pretty much helpless.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and he and he was. I had to keep picking him because we were getting picked off, like before we got even out of the basement. So I mean, again, the game is a lot of fun. But kind of bringing it back to Deb by Daylight, phil, I think that's such a testament to that game.

Speaker 1:

And you know, you mentioned like Friday the 13th and like all of these games, like they kind of have to sit in it for a while and create that following. And I just like Dead by Daylight because, unlike just a singular franchise, it has like all the all these little kind of areas that they can go into with these original characters and then they can pull with DLC, like I really like those elements of horror where you know, Friday the 13th, texas Chainsaw Massacre, like those are very themed franchise games. So Dead by Daylight offers a little bit of something for everyone and I think that's what I like the most about it, even if it's not nearly as appealing to a casual gamer. But I think if you have a group of friends it is a lot of fun and dive into it, give it a shot. We definitely have had some fun. And yeah, I mean, if you guys tell me you're going to play Dead by Daylight. I'm there Now. Will we commit to that? Great question? Great question Are we going to be on four nightmares?

Speaker 2:

Probably. Probably, I mean, even though we can't beat that either. So we'll see how that goes. It is a school issue at this point. That is a skill issue, for sure.

Speaker 2:

My question is this like you know again, like I said, all these games are kind of trying to replicate what Dead by Daylight has done now for years. And I do wonder, like what is more valuable for a studio as far as just saving money, like whatever their bottom line is. Would it have been better for Texas Chainsaw Massacre to just pair up with Dead by Daylight and try and make a new mode or something like that? You know what I mean, as opposed to developing a whole nother game? Because I believe the studio Sumo Nottingham, I believe they also did the Friday, the 13th game, they did yeah. So I mean you take a second crack at it, you know. And then the people that did the, you know the Evil Dead game that is now dead as well, no pun intended, that's Saber Interactive. So it's like, at what point do you? Because you know Ghostface is in Dead by Daylight, jason and Freddie are in. I'm not Jason, but Freddie, freddie.

Speaker 1:

Freddie.

Speaker 2:

Mercury, Could you imagine sitting there in the fog and just hear?

Speaker 1:

oh my God, that would be terrifying.

Speaker 2:

I actually would like to see that.

Speaker 1:

No, I don't want to see that as well.

Speaker 2:

Freddie, like I said, freddie, but anyway, freddie Kruger is in the game. You know the girl from the ring, all the alien you know. And then remember again. This is another example the Predator has its own video game. That's also 4v1 and it's dead in the water. You know, like, wouldn't it have been smarter for them to just pair up with Dead by Daylight and do a collab? You know, I'd like to know what goes on in those conversations, because it seems like it'd be smarter to just hey, I would have put my character in your game.

Speaker 1:

And I think when it comes down to characters, that's such a big part of whether or not you're gonna do like DLC and obviously you're gonna be making money off of DLC. You know to kind of relate it to spider-man we're playing that right now. I've beaten the game and I want to play more. I'm kind of getting hints of what characters could be included in those DLCs. So like I'm excited about it and I'll probably Get the DLC just because of the characters involved. So with Dead by Daylight, I mean that's probably how they've continued to really Not only bring in the money but bring in the interest from fan bases. I don't disagree with you at all. In fact, I was kind of looking here, phil, and I think leather face at some point was on the roster. I don't know if he still is okay.

Speaker 1:

That would be interesting to see how that kind of all fell through yeah, they had Demi Gorgon in them in the game, I believe.

Speaker 2:

I don't think it's downloadable anymore. But again, super smart, like stranger things, has has stayed away from Making their own thing. They did the fortnight collab. They're in Dead by Daylight. Like it just Makes more sense. I mean, could you man, like I don't know how or I don't know what characters you would recommend from the anime realm, but that would fit right in into this too. You know, I think that'd be great. So they have a really, really great formula here and it's really no, no surprise. I mean, this is the fortnight of horror gaming. Right, that's, that's what it is.

Speaker 1:

You heard it here, you heard it here the fortnight of horror gaming. That, uh, I mean, you're not wrong.

Speaker 2:

Why are you bullying me? I'm right.

Speaker 1:

Ready mercury coming soon to the oh so so here is radio Gaga. That's all I could think about right now.

Speaker 2:

I'm telling you it would work. It would work if Nicholas Cage can get in the game, freddie Mercury can get into the game. But yeah, overall, really fun experiences for both of these games. I think I would probably stick it stick to these two. Don't really have a lot of interest in trying out the Evil Dead game. One don't really know a lot about that IP, but also, again, similar gameplay loop, not good. I don't even think that. I don't even know if the servers are still up for Friday the 13th, so don't really have any need to play that. So yeah, again, if you are looking for something to jump into, and albeit it, although it will take some time for you to figure out the interface and the loadouts and everything else, a dead by daylight is the go-to, like everyone has told us, and it's very easy to see why.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, again, I highly recommend it with your friends. And we got to talk about Texas chainsaw massacre as well, because we didn't think it would really be worth a full episode. We really jumped into it like Maybe a hand or two handfuls of time, like it wasn't very like. Very often, in fact, we probably played both of these games around the same amount of time, with a little bit of favor to dead by daylight. So that is our thoughts on a game that came out years ago and it's still holding strong.

Speaker 1:

It's crazy to see what other games came out in 2016. But, phil, that is pretty much the end of this episode for us. Again, we are actively playing spider-man 2. I have finished the campaign, phil is on the way and there's a lot more of that world to explore, so you guys can expect that to be the next episode here at the end of November for the game room. Where it happens, phil, we'll go ahead and transition and just kind of talk a little bit about where our audience can find more episodes of the podcast and we'll kind of transition to the end.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, everything you need is going to be in the link tree link of the show notes. Most importantly, social media Instagram tick tock. That is where we are the most active. You'll also find the link where you can find all of the rest of our content, so catch up on past episodes. Game room, where it happens, has been going on for a couple years now, so if there is a game, a mainstream game that you think you want to know if we've talked about, it's probably on here, so make sure you check out all the rest of our library.

Speaker 2:

If you want to support the show, head on over to Apple podcast or Spotify. Let us know that we're doing a good job. Give us five stars, and Sharing episodes is also great as well. Share them on social media. Tag us, let us know what you're listening to also a great way to keep up with this. You'll also find the link to our brand new discord page where you can join our community that is constantly posting about different things that are going on, as far as a movie and TV reviews, pop culture, news, memes. It's all in there, and that's a great way to also talk to us directly. So Eric and I are always active in that channel as well. But if you find yourself wanting to support us a little bit extra, like our awesome patron Stefan and Briar, do Eric, we'll let you know how to do that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so actually supporting us can go a couple different ways. All the ways that Phil mentioned, of course, are ways you guys can do that Non-monetarily, but you are able to monetarily support us directly on our buzzsprout page or, if you would like to get the most bang for your buck, on patreon. We have exclusive perks such as unedited and early access versions of episodes like this one's, where Stefan Briar and all of our future patrons will hopefully be supporting us there and gaining that content. We also want to build that up in 2024, so we're gonna continue to add new wrinkles to the game and we truly Appreciate the support. With all that being said, my name is mr Eric almighty. That is my co-host for the Filipino and, please don't forget, we release new episodes of the podcast every Wednesday With bonus content on platforms like tiktok, and all you got to do is wait for it.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 1:
